The whole site is over a million hectares wide. This place is also home to a few endangered animals.


• Kronotsky Nature Reserve
  
  This nature reserve is located on the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. This place is home to numerous volcanoes, both active and inactive, a massive lake, and the only geyser in all of Europe and Asia. Due to its harsh weather conditions, it is often times called the Land of Fire and Ice.


• Hermitage Museum
  
  The Hermitage Museum is the second largest museum in the whole world. The museum consists of millions of art pieces that are of important value to Russian history, and others around the world. Located in the beautiful city of Saint Petersburg, the collection comprises of six buildings overall.


• Dargavs: The City of the Dead
  
  Around the village of Dargavs, there exists a place called the City of the Dead. In the place lies hundreds of ancient stone crypts. Around the 18th century, it is believed that the people of Ossetia died in some sort of plague, turning the village into a massive cemetery. Today, people can reach the City of the Dead, but the journey will be difficult and dangerous. This scenic spot is not for everyone for sure, but fans of the macabre will surely appreciate this.


• Krasnaya Polyana
  
  Krasnaya Polyana is a snow-capped mountain that is a popular destination spot for ice-skiing enthusiasts and fans all around the world. Already two different world skiing competitions have been held on this mountain, namely the Alpine Ski World Cup, and the 2014 World Olympics.
