It is not rare to see a Russian person live in an extended family household - a typical scene for almost every Russian family. Most Russians grow up in a tight-knit household where family always comes first, a trait that carries on until their adult life.

They are also interdependent with each other. When one relative is in need, the other members of the family flock to help. A Russian extended family looks out for each other through storms and clear skies. When dating Russian women, make sure you keep this in mind, among many other things.

  Most people in Russia do not move out of their family homes until they are in their late 20s, or even in their early 30s.
